Katanas are not only some of the best dex weapons in Elden Ring but also Dual-wielding weapons in Elden Ring allow you to use two different weapons in the same attack. It results in more lethal attacking capability. Giantcrusher is a deadly weapon when dual-wielded, giving a staggering damage of 700+. Two hand boosts strength which doesn’t help moonveil much. Dual wield means you can power stance and stack that bleed faster while doing more damage. The only way you could dual wield moonveils is if you either go into ng+ or get someone to give you one. Which I wouldn’t recommend, the reason it’s a powerful weapon is because of the Singles allow for use of more crystals: 2 sabers with good crystals (total of 6 if you use the Uber crystals from the Rodian at Yavin) is better damage output and modifiers than a double bladed build (at most 3). IMO the only reason to go double-bladed is for the look/story/RP aspect. IMO Master Flurry is better than Master Power Attack. It is better to dual wield at high level for pretty much every weapon unless you are using a shield, 2 handing is never needed. Fusei1001. • 2 yr. ago. You can get 100% damage reduction on block with certain weapons (notably heavy weapons) and heavy armors, allowing you to block/counter while two handed. And since two handed weapons benefits Is it always a better idea to use one good weapon in both hands over two From my experience so far, it's better to use one good, heavy two handed; jump heavy attacks do a lot of damage and can stagger easier than regular attacks, and even on regular attacks you have a higher chance of staggering than one handing a sword. In Elden Ring, if you two-hand a weapon, you get a 1.5x boost to your current Strength, so 12 is the minimum needed to use the Nagakiba with both hands. But if you decide to dual-wield the dual wield always > 2 handing. this is because the damage added from 2 handing the weapon is negligible, where as the damage added from adding a second weapon is significant. there is NO weapon in the game with high enough scaling to make this not the case. even the brick hammer @ 60-80str dosent have more damage 2 handing than dual wielding Dual wielding is typically for those that exclusively roll. L2 ashes only utilizes your primary (RH) weapon. Don't know about the no skill question. I ended up respecing to a strength build and Jesus this thing hits so hard and absolutely destroys everything. Bastard sword in my rh, claymore in my left. two handing really only is beneficial for STR scallong weapons, katanas would be better dual-wielded yes. 1. cynicalsaint1. • 2 yr. ago. Depends 2 handing increases your STR by 1.5x for purposes of scaling and requirements. 2h attack also tend to do more stagger damage. So if a weapon doesn't get much from STR scaling (or you're already at 2 handing will let you exceed the 99 strength str cap. It will not show the number in the stats tab but you will effectively have ~148 Str. It lets you use 1.5x your strength to wield a weapon and scales the damage as though you had 1.5x the strength. It also changes the moveset.
